Last day of a wonderful school year!

Today is the last day of the school year. Nothing was taught, just having fun for the whole day! We watched two movies, and ate pizzas and chat. I got a big gift from a student who had asked me to teach him how to tie a shoelace. Because he saw me tie my shoelace in one second, he thought it's from very cool Chinese Kongfu as he has never seen anyone did this so fast, and insisted on learning the skill. I hesitated for a few days, during those days, he became super obedient to me, and I became softhearted, and said if you learnt how to tie a shoelace, will you help me to tie all the shoelaces of the rest of the class if they ask for it? He happily agreed, then I taught him;). After he learned it, every kid went to him for tying shoes, which relieved me a lot. He was very proud to be the only one who knows how to tie a shoelace in high speed. I said ok, I can hire you to be my assistant now.

So I found a great way of motivating students is to teach them something cool and let them do the work instead of me. It turns out that they can be the most diligent and hard working persons in the world when they are offered something meaningful to achieve. It seems that teaching students is like managing small people, a good manager does not do all the work, but delegates his power and skills to others according to their strengths and let his small flocks do his work! It benefits both sides. 😊 A good teacher must be a good manager! Just like Jesus only worked for 3 years, then introduced his disciples the Holy Spirit, and asked them to do the works that he does with the Holy Spirit, and delegated them to do even greater works than him for the next few thousand years. The return rate is definitely the highest in history--to work for someone without any reservation for 3 years, and then get them to work for you for many more thousand years!
3: X thousands. (Jesus' economy of works) 😇
