孔子的学生季路有一次向学问渊博的老师请教问“死是怎么回事”。孔子说：“未知生，焉知死？”，于是这成了孔夫子学生或后代们久久不能解开的迷。传道书中有写“凡事都有定期，天下万物都有定时。生有时，死有时。栽种有时，拔出所栽种的，也有时。杀戮有时，医治有时。拆毁有时，建造有时。哭有时，笑有时。哀恸有时，跳舞有时。抛掷石头有时，堆聚石头有时。怀抱有时，不怀抱有时。寻找有时，失落有时。保守有时，舍弃有时。撕裂有时，缝补有时。静默有时，言语有时。喜爱有时，恨恶有时。争战有时，和好有时。”托住万有的主坐在高天至大者的右边，祂的生命书中有我们的生之日死之时，如此的奥秘，读后令人掩卷叹息。
Confucius' student Ji Lu once asked him "teacher, what is death?" Confucius answered:" I don't evan know life,not to mention death." thus,this became a mystery which puzzled many generations after Confucius.In Ecclesiastes was written:"There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under heaven:a time to be born and a time to die, a time to plant and a time to uproot,a time to kill and a time to heal, a time to tear down and a time to build,a time to weep and a time to laugh, a time to mourn and a time to dance,a time to scatter stones and a time to gather them, a time to embrace and a time to refrain,a time to search and a time to give up, a time to keep and a time to throw away,a time to tear and a time to mend, a time to be silent and a time to speak,a time to love and a time to hate, a time for war and a time for peace."The Lord who's siting at the right hand of the Majesty in heaven, is sustaining all these things by His powerful Word.In His book was written our birth and death,at the exact time and place, such mystery makes me wonder!
